Kroměříž ve víru svobody

anotace	For a long time, the town Kroměříž was surrounded with walls and this has changed in the half of 19th century. The town started to expand, but all new invasions into it´s structure were regulated by qualified people – arcibiscopal ingeneers and architects. It continued till the beginning of new century, when the town undertook the role of city keeper. The town construction office was established and all new city projects, with new regulation plan as well, were ruled by it´s engeneers. All new and future districts were proposed, the streets traced, limits set. This really modern regulation plan was also obligatory for the next era, when was it´s vision fullfiled. The biggest turning point came with the revolution in 1989. All the rules kept before were broken. Single house districts were built on precios agricultural land behind the town, without any civic amenities or public space, without corresponding trafic net, without any style and limits. Only few realisations are worth to mention and with contemporary legislation there is no view of change. But at least, there is a hope that on the other side, there are still people and organizations interested in good architecture as we can see on the example of the restoration of Kroměříž´s gardens.
